The Photovoltaics Equipment sector group represents European photovoltaic machinery manufacturers along the entire value chain.
As a sector group, we are the driving force and back-up for our member companies in the highly competitive photovoltaic market. We provide updates on technologies and markets, compile statistics and map the business climate of the industry. In addition, roadmaps on international technology trends are developed and published. With our activities, we create visibility for manufacturers of photovoltaic production equipment. Through organised meetings and workshops with excellent networking opportunities, we actively and efficiently serve and support our members.

On November 5, 2025 from 4.30pm - 6.00 pm the board meeting of the VDMA sector group Photovoltaics Equipment will take place at PVA TePla in Wettenberg.
Together with partners such as Fraunhofer ISE, ISFH, Helmholtz Centre Berlin, ISC Konstanz and
RCT-Solutions, a roadmap for the future development of the solar industry in Europe is being drawn up. The focus here is also on the question of how we can strengthen and sustainably anchor innovative strength and industrial value creation in Europe in the long term.
