The IFL is an association of companies and research institutions that focuses on practical research in intralogistics and materials handling technology. Its aims are to strengthen the leading position of the German intralogistics industry and to develop innovative solutions for material flow, warehouse technology and logistics systems. The next meeting of the IFL's Scientific Advisory Board, which will be attended by IFL members and representatives of institutes, will take place in Hamburg on February 4, 2026.
Strategy group
Release Candidate 3.0.0 will be published on January 19, 2026, and comments can be submitted via GitHub until February 6, 2026. The joint meeting on February 17 serves, among other things, to formally release VDA 5050 version 3.0.0.
Around 80 manufacturers of continuous conveyors for both bulk goods and unit loads are organized together in the Continuous Conveyor Division. The annual members' meeting serves to exchange ideas and information through relevant specialist presentations. This year's members' meeting of the Continuous Conveyors Division will take place at the VDMA in Frankfurt.
The “Layout Interchange Format” (LIF) working group has further developed the current document. Several decisions are now pending that are relevant to the continued evolution of LIF. A structured overview of the key points will be made available in the near term. Participation in the meeting is recommended in order to contribute different perspectives and to jointly establish the next steps in a transparent and well‑aligned manner.
