Dr. Johannes Gernandt: Order intake November 2025

The order situation in the mechanical and plant engineering industry in Germany recovered somewhat in the final months of 2025. The increase in orders in October was followed by real order growth of 7 per cent in November compared with the previous year. For the eleven months from January to November 2025 inclusive, this resulted in stagnation at the previous year's level in the order books. After six months of 2025, orders in mechanical and plant engineering were still slightly above the previous year's level, followed by several months which included sharp declines.
