Abstract:
In industrial component management, there are components that cause headaches in (re)procurement due to a variety of factors. The presentation explains why components belong to the category of headache components, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of additive processes for this component category, and introduces manufacturing using 3D-printed plastic injection mold inserts as a new solution approach.
