Data economy
Data is becoming a key value driver and asset for companies

Mechanical engineering is successfully shaping the digital transformation — so far primarily in design, production, and service. In the future, however, data-driven business models will increasingly take center stage.
The combination of platform and data economies is fundamentally changing the mechanical engineering industry: digital services, intelligent analytics, and new data-based offerings are gaining in importance — and with them new forms of cooperation, monetization, and customer loyalty.
