The VDMA Textile Machinery Association is actively committed to promoting young engineers through its Walter Reiners Foundation. The foundation's portfolio includes not only prizes for outstanding academic work, but also support for university excursions to leading companies in the mechanical engineering and textile industries. In particular, it promotes visits to the leading ITMA trade fair in Europe, which takes place every four years.
