Der VDMA Österreich ist der erste europäische Landesverband im VDMA außerhalb Deutschlands und ist das Bindeglied für die österreichische Maschinen- und Anlagenbauunternehmen zu den hochwertigen Dienstleistungen, dem fachlichen Kompetenzspektrum und zum umfassenden internationalen Netzwerk des VDMA.

Seit der Gründung 2017 und der ersten Mitgliederversammlung in Wien im Oktober 2020, der Wahl eines Vorstandes und Beschluss einer Geschäftsordnung für den VDMA in Österreich unterstützen wir aktiv unsere mehr als 180 österreichischen Mitglieds-Unternehmen mit aktuellen Brancheninformationen, einer passgenauen Einbindung von der Geschäftsführung bis zu Fachexperten in das VDMA-Netzwerk und zahlreichen Erfahrungsaustausch- und Informationsveranstaltungen in ganz Österreich. Mit einer starken lokalen Präsenz in Österreich bietet der VDMA seinen österreichischen Mitgliedern das Wissen und Netzwerk vor Ort an, um sich am Markt stark zu positionieren und sich einen Vorteil im globalen Wettbewerb zu sichern.

Ready for the future with OPC UA

OPC UA has established itself as the central technology for networked production, earning it the title of the "global language of production". As a manufacturer-independent communication standard, OPC UA enables the structured and secure provision of machine data, which is a decisive factor for interoperability, efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness in industry. Given current regulatory requirements, such as the EU Data Act, which will become applicable on 12 September 2025, and the Digital Product Passport (DPP), OPC UA is becoming increasingly important. The standardized provision of data is essential for implementing legal requirements and digital business models. On 9 September 2025, VDMA Austria will hold its third OPC UA experience exchange for mechanical and plant engineering professionals at ENGEL AUSTRIA in Schwertberg. You are cordially invited to attend.
