2022 was and is a challenging year for all those working in the field of customs, logistics, transport and shipping. We want to discuss many of these challenges in our exchange of experiences "Customs & Logistics, Transport, Shipping" on 09.11.2022 in Denkendorf (near Stuttgart). We cordially invite you to this event.
The year started turbulently - with a multitude of new commodity codes and extended requirements for the preparation of IntraStat declarations and the war in Ukraine, which has brought a drastic tightening of sanctions against Russia and Belarus. In this regard, we want to know your experience in the implementation of measures and export processing.
The conclusion and negotiation of various free trade agreements as well as the modernization of various agreements have attracted attention and discussions, also in the public. In addition, the EU Commission criticizes an insufficient use of the free trade agreements. We want to discuss what this could be due to and look at the general state of affairs regarding free trade agreements.
At this year's "Erfa Zoll", we want to take a closer look at a recurring topic, namely external audits by customs authorities.
The Ukraine war has not only brought sanctions, but has also had a serious impact on the transport sector. Transport routes on land and in the air had to be adjusted and many Ukrainian truck drivers were suddenly no longer available. At the same time, lockdowns in the context of the Corona pandemic led to widespread problems in supply chains. All this should lead to a reconsideration of clauses in supply contracts.
Last but not least, at the "Erfa Logistics/Transportation" we will be dealing with cyber security in the area of air freight as well as with the problems in the area of large-volume and heavy transports, which, with processes for approvals that can hardly be calculated in terms of time, hardly allow for planning certainty in terms of costs and time.
