In Brazil we will visit the industry clusters in the states of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. On one hand, German companies and their agents will be able to exchange information with Brazilian industry players about current market developments, and on the other hand, they will be able to present their products and solutions for increasing efficiency in production and logistics processes in specialist presentations. Focal points will include efficient and climate-neutral production and digitalization. The VDMA will closely coordinate the content of the program with the AHK to meet the needs of the participating companies, so that targeted contacts with potential customers and end-users (including B2B appointments at potential customers) and at a symposium to which industry representatives will be specifically invited. This has worked well on past business initiation trips.

Participants are provided with a target market analysis at an early stage, which provides valuable and insightful information about Industry 4.0 and logistics systems in the green chemistry, petrochemical and natural gas sectors, as well as market players and business opportunities in Brazil. In addition, participants will receive further information about the explicit Brazilian market conditions as well as an overview of the economic and political context, cultural and structural peculiarities and helpful networks and institutions during an online preparatory workshop and later during a country briefing and expert visits. For this purpose, the VDMA, the BMWK as well as German missions abroad, Brazilian and German multipliers as well as industry associations and Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI), among others, will be involved.

Programme
We will spend the first three days in Rio de Janeiro, where an information event for the German companies and a presentation event of the German process technology suppliers to Brazilian decision-makers of important petrochemical companies are planned. We will also visit BRASKEM's biopolymer production and Petrobras' research centre. In Sao Paulo, we will visit Raizen (biofuels) and other companies at the request of the participants. Throughout the trip, b2b matchings are planned. Together with the VDMA, there will also be an exchange of experiences with other German companies on site. Experience shows that in this format you often get a b2b appointment where previously the doors remained closed for years - simply because the BMWK, VDMA and AHK are making enquiries. From experience, we recommend both newcomers to the market and experienced sales managers to take part, especially as you will be offered an extremely compact and intensive programme, including personal wishes, for very little money. Participation of your agency or branch office as well as up to two participants per company is possible per registration. The project is part of the BMWK (German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Transformation) market development program for SMEs and is subject to de minimis regulations. The own contribution of the companies for the participation in the project is depending on the size of the company:
- 500 EUR (net) for participants with less than 2 million EUR annual turnover and less than 10 employees;
- EUR 750 (net) for participants with less than EUR 50 million in annual sales and fewer than 500 employees;
- EUR 1,000 (net) for participants with annual sales of EUR 50 million or more or 500 or more employees.
Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs are borne by the participants themselves. Individual consulting services are certified for all participants in application of the EU's de minimis regulation. A maximum of 12 companies can participate. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received, with SMEs having priority over large companies.
