Abstract:
In industrial component management, there are components that cause headaches in (re)procurement due to a variety of factors. The presentation explains why components belong to the category of headache components, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of additive processes for this component category, and introduces manufacturing using 3D-printed plastic injection mold inserts as a new solution approach.

- Jan Weickel, born in 1994, has been involved in additive manufacturing processes for more than 10 years.

- 2014-2018: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (University of Applied Sciences Mannheim)
- 2021 – 2022: Master's degree in International Business: Entrepreneurship + Business Development (Maastricht University)

- 2018–2021: BASF Forward AM (staff to executive management; later product manager for 3D printing filaments)
